Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
Is there a hunting season for bison?

A.
No. We can do hunts year round, but meat processing needs to be considered. For prime winter hides, capes, or robes, the months of November through January are the best.

Q.
Is a hunting license required?

A.
No, you do not need a license to hunt, but you will be required to sign a liability waiver and have in your possession a signed "Bill of Sale" prior to the hunt. This will be taken care of when you come to hunt and when final payment is made.

Q.
Do I need a deposit?

A.
Yes. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your animal. The hunt or shoot will be reserved for the date and time agreed upon when the deposit is received. The balance will be due upon arrival and prior to the hunt. At this time you will sign the liability waiver and receive a "Bill of Sale". Due to complications, the hunt may be rescheduled at a later date (within 90 days) as long as there are no conflicts with other scheduled hunts.

Q.
Are other hunts scheduled at the same time?

A.
No. We like to schedule one hunt at a time, but there have been rare occasions when a client has shot a meat buffalo in the corral when another is hunting a buffalo. These do not interfere with each other.

Q.
Are guests of the hunter welcome?

A.
Yes. A maximum of two guests are allowed. Others may be negotiable depending on the hunt.
